# Bill Barnes Air Adventurer (July 1935)

"Wings of the Jungle" by George L. Eaton is the featured serial. Bill Barnes embarks on an air adventure to Madagascar to "right a wrong" emerging from mysterious past events. Saboteurs repeatedly attempt to prevent his fleet from reaching its destination; the airmen must engage in aerial combat to fight through determined opposition.

The issue also contains short stories: "Air Alibi" by Frank Piazzi and "The Airport in the Valley" by Roger M. Clancy. Supporting sections include a technical feature on the Amiot 143-M, a French long-range military bomber with 700-horsepower engines designed for raids, detailed with specifications on its bomb capacity and defensive gun positions. Regular columns cover air questions, aviation models, and club activities. The opening narrative establishes the larger story through Lieutenant Gordon "Shorty" Hassfurther, a decorated American pilot during World War I attached to a British squadron, his relationship with Major Virgil Wyndam, and combat action against German Fokkers.
