A Mormon missionary named Solomon Olds arrives seeking his runaway wife, bonding with Ben over mutual contempt for Chinese people. After Olds and Ben leave together, Wun Look is brutally attacked—his remaining eye torn from its socket. Steve and Diamond Don, another sport, find him collapsed at Don's door. The injured Celestial, unable to identify his attacker despite the "soft" hands, vows to discover the culprit. Don insists Wun Look remain at his house to recover.
