This 1883 Beadle & Adams dime novel features "Barranca Bill, the Revolver Champion; or, The Witch of the Weeping Willows," a Nevada-set story by Captain Mark Wilton. As lynch mobs search the town with torches, Bill prepares to defend his brother. A parallel narrative introduces Vivian, daughter of politician Cephas Brown, as a rough visitor demands an audience with her father.
