This July 1955 British edition of Astounding Science Fiction (Vol. XI, No. 7) is edited by John W. Campbell Jr. and features science fiction across multiple genres.

The lead serial, "Time Crime" by H. Beam Piper (first of two parts), opens on a plantation where newly purchased slaves arrive via a dealer. Captain Kiro Soran recognizes their language as Kharanda from the Ganges Valley on the Fourth Level's Kholghoor Sector, and notices electric whip-marks inconsistent with local weapons—suggesting illicit time-travel slave trading. He orders pursuit of the slave traders.

The issue also contains: "Citadel" by Algis Budrys (novelette); "Design Flaw" by Lee Correy, "Tight Squeeze" by Dean C. Ing, and "Grandpa" by James H. Schmitz (short stories); and Isaac Asimov's scientific article "Hemoglobin and the Universe." Campbell's editorial discusses logical systems, epistemology, and human interaction problems.
