# Catalog Note: The Argosy, February 1912

This issue contains two complete novels and six serial installments. "The Silent Foe" by Seward W. Hopkins features treachery and strategy among Indians. "A Pair of Eyes in Cleveland" by George Stillwell presents a high-society feud culminating on the lake-front. Serials include Frank Williams's "With Sword and Strategy" (Part I), set during Charlemagne's reign with the White Bird of Pepin; Edgar Franklin's "The Amiable Aroma" (Part II); George C. Jenks's "Wresting a Pittsburgh Secret" (Part II); Casper Carson's "Russia's Black Paw" (Part IV), a tale of intrigue under the Czar; Louis Gorham's "Trembling Earth" (Part III), set in Georgia's swamps; and Albert Payson Terhune's "The Hoodoo Fighter" (Part IV). Also featured are R. K. Thompson's Alaskan novelette "On the Frozen Trail" and seven short stories by various authors.
