This November issue of The Argosy contains one complete novel, six serial story installments, and eleven short stories. The complete novel is "By Bullet Persuasion" by Seward W. Hopkins, concerning a fig planter forced to take drastic action to assert his rights. The serial stories include Harlan O. Steele's "An Elusive Legacy," about a photographer's unexpected troubles; Albert Payson Terhune's "From Flag to Flag," following an American's adventures during the War of 1812; Edwin Bliss's "A Fall Out of Fate"; Bertram Lebhar's "The Jailbird"; F. K. Scribner's "Secret Enemies"; and Seward W. Hopkins's "Taking Big Chances." Short stories are by Walter Duranty, Robert Russell, Garrett Swift, George M. A. Cain, Edgar Franklin, John H. Freese, Radnor M. Coote, Fred V. Greene Jr., Robert Carlton Brown, Lloyd Thacher, and Harold C. Burr. The December issue will feature a new serial titled "Shipmates with Horror."
