This December 1905 issue of The Argosy features one complete novel, "The Queen's Prisoner" by J. Aubrey Tyson, involving travelers encountering deadly perils. Seven serials appear in installments: William Wallace Cook's "Jim Dexter—Cattleman," a plains tale of chivalry versus deceit; Bertram LeBhar's "No Way Out," concerning a loan shark and resulting tragedy; W. Bert Foster's "The Outcast"; Edgar Franklin's "A Month in Masquerade"; Jared L. Fuller's "Block Tower Seven," a railroad mystery; Paul C. Schaffer's "Marooned in 1492"; and Seward W. Hopkins's "The Hoodoo Ranch." Eight short stories are included, among them F. J. Knight Adkin's "The Highwayman's Match." The January issue will launch F. K. Scribner's "The Ravens of the Rhine," a Franco-Prussian War serial centered on Sedan featuring American characters and German cavalry action.
