This issue of Hugo Gernsback's science fiction magazine contains seven stories of varied science fiction and speculative fiction: "The Metal Man" by Jack Williamson, a two-part serial continuation of "The World at Bay" by B. and Geo. C. Wallis (part II), "The Appendix and the Spectacles" by Miles J. Brener, M.D., "Flight to Venus" by Edwin K. Sloat, "The Fifth Dimension" by Clare Winger Harris, "Before the Ice Age" by Alfred Fritchey, "Monorail" by George McLociard, and "The Space Bender" by Edward L. Rementer. The cover illustration depicts a scene from Williamson's story featuring a scientist held by a six-sided crystal prism emanating red light. Upcoming stories are announced including Harl Vincent's "The War of the Planets" and tales by Irvin Lester, Fletcher Pratt, Jack Barnette, and George Cookman Watson.
