This 1926 Adventure magazine contains five complete short stories and two serial installments. W. C. Tuttle's novel-length feature, "The Buckaroo of Blue Wells," follows James Eaton Legg, a discontented San Francisco bookkeeper, who quits his job at a wholesale grocer after receiving a mysterious letter from a Chicago law firm, then heads west to Arizona to become a cowpuncher. Supporting stories include "Red Stripes" by Hugh Pendexter set in pioneer Ohio; "Jukes" by Bill Adams, a maritime tale about a man attempting to return home; and "The Phantom Major" by Larry Barretto concerning World War combat. Gordon Young's serial "Treasure" (Part III) features a South Seas setting with a commandeered bark. Additional content includes short fiction on aviation and gold prospecting, period verse, and regular departments addressing readers' questions and travel information. The issue includes Lysol shaving cream advertising.
