This July 1924 issue of Adventure contains three complete novelettes and several shorter pieces. "Swain's Venture" by Arthur D. Howden Smith features Oliver Rosta navigating North American territory. Frederick Moore's "God of the Sakai," set in the South Seas, involves a character named Cantrell experiencing an unsettling night. Gordon Young's five-part serial "Pearl-Hunger" (Part III) takes place in the Western Pacific, featuring dramatic action with the line "Chang! He jumped overboard!"
