This document is not a pulp magazine but a declassified military UFO report from Project Blue Book, dated February 21, 1961. It records a sighting by Navy personnel at coordinates near Hawaii. A single bright light was observed at 45 degrees above the horizon, moving northeast at five degrees per minute, bearing 120 degrees true. The object disappeared below the horizon at bearing 020 degrees. Space Track was queried to identify the object, which they determined was the satellite Echo I. The report was distributed to multiple military commands including CINCPAC, USAF headquarters, and ATIC at Wright-Patterson AFB. The document contains standard military classification and routing information typical of Cold War-era intelligence communications.
