Project 1960 Record Card

This document is not a pulp magazine but rather a UFO sighting report card from Project 10073 (later known as Project Blue Book), the U.S. Air Force's systematic investigation of unidentified flying objects. The form dated October 1960 records a sighting near Fenson, Ohio, documenting observations of unidentified aerial phenomena. The witness reported seeing bright objects compared to electric light bulbs or stars, which disappeared behind trees after 3–5 minutes of visibility. The card includes standardized fields for recording location, observation type, duration, number of objects, photographic evidence, and witness descriptions. Questions prompt detailed accounts of apparent size, angular measurement using a matchstick, disappearance method, and comparative descriptions of familiar objects matching the sighting's appearance. The OCR quality degrades significantly in later sections, obscuring specific witness responses.
