Amazing Stories, December 1959

This document collection comprises military UFO sighting reports from Project 10073 (the Air Force's systematic UFO investigation). The material consists of three CIRVIS (Communications Instructions for Reporting Vital Intelligence Sightings) evaluations from December 1959, documenting observations made by military aircraft crews over Hawaiian airspace.

The first report records a brilliant flash at 5,000-6,000 feet, with one observer attributing it to meteor entry. The second details two MATS transport aircraft (T-10180 and T-062) witnessing the same falling object for fifteen seconds in clear weather; T-10180 reported a blue object breaking into three pieces without a tail, while T-062 observed a long blue tail behind a bright object. Both sightings were officially evaluated as meteor entry. The third report documents a co-pilot observing bright white illumination beneath clouds below 8,000 feet lasting 1-2 seconds with no visible object, also evaluated as meteor entry.
