This document is a U.S. Air Force intelligence report on an unidentified flying object sighting near Huntington, West Virginia, dated 1 November 1957. A 23-year-old female supervisor at the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company reported hearing a crash, jet engine-like sound, and beeping noise outside her home. She observed an object resembling two metallic hemispheres joined off-center, approximately automobile-sized, with a small red light at its axis. The object rested on her house roof for roughly two seconds before ascending vertically, disappearing within one minute. She noted a strong downward air current that scattered yard debris despite calm weather conditions. The object appeared circular from below as it ascended. Weather Bureau records confirmed calm conditions at the time. The witness requested anonymity due to fear of ridicule. No physical evidence was recovered; the sighting was observed with unaided eyes only.
