This document is not a pulp magazine, but rather a declassified U.S. Air Force official report from December 1954. It comprises Air Intelligence Information Report forms documenting a UFO sighting by a B-47 bomber crew stationed at March Air Force Base, California. On December 12, 1954, between 1620Z and 1705Z hours, the crew observed an unidentified object approximately three miles ahead at 30,000 feet. The object appeared as a blinking pinkish-red light for fifteen minutes, then transitioned to steady white for another fifteen minutes, before gradually dissolving with approaching daylight. Initially mistaken for an interceptor aircraft, the reporting unit concluded after analysis that the object was likely a celestial body—specifically a planet—based on its color changes, movement relative to the formation, and dissolution at dawn.
