Unknown Science Fiction Pulp Magazine Cover

Β· October 1953

This document is not a pulp magazine but rather a U.S. Air Force UFO incident report. It details the sighting of two unidentified objects over Capitol Heights, Maryland, near Washington D.C., on October 2, 1952, at approximately 1930 hours. The objects were described as round, starlike or white in color, approximately three times the size of an average star or small grapefruit. They appeared in side-by-side formation ninety feet apart, drifting apart as they receded. Observers noted no exhaust trail, glow, or sound; speed was comparable to piston-engine transport aircraft. The sighting lasted approximately thirty seconds, with objects approaching from the north and traveling southward toward Bolling Air Force Base before disappearing behind trees. The witness was a 24-year-old USAF employee, observed by her husband, a University of Maryland student.
