Pulp Magazine Cover, August 1953

Β· August 1953

This document is a U.S. Air Force intelligence report on unidentified flying object sightings, not a pulp magazine. It contains official military records documenting observations by Seaman Apprentice Charles S. De Forrest at Key West, Florida on July 22 and August 1, 1953. De Forrest, a Fleet Sonar School student, reported a bright white object moving rapidly across the sky in regular arcs before disappearing. The report includes witness background, weather conditions, and investigator assessments. A separate letter discusses multiple UFO cases under review, noting the Key West sightings as possibly warranting follow-up despite being dated, alongside cases from Texas and Alabama. The military concluded the Key West observation was "probably searchlight on aircraft." This is an archival document, not magazine fiction content.
