# Catalog Note

This issue contains an Air Intelligence Information Report (AFI 20005) documenting a UFO sighting reported by Captain Dursemaine of the French Navy. The report, dated 9 September 1952, details observations made near Germany on 29 September 1952 at 1730 hours, witnessed for approximately six minutes.

The unidentified object was described as egg-shaped and luminescent with a black spot at its center roughly the size of a C-47 fuselage. The object produced a low-pitched hum and traveled at an estimated 600 kilometers per hour. A white exhaust trail with red edges was observed. Captain Dursemaine, interviewed from his home location, provided measurements and a sketch. The report notes contemporary military jet activity in the same area and includes weather conditions at the time of sighting. The document is forwarded to the Air Technical Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
