The report includes a formal government observers' questionnaire recording testimony from airline pilots of a DC-4 aircraft who encountered six disk-shaped objects glowing with orange-red light at 8,000 feet altitude. The pilots, both with over ten years flying experience, reported the objects executing complex maneuvers—slowing abruptly, flipping on edge, and accelerating at an estimated 12,000 miles per hour. A second group of two additional discs joined the formation. The objects ultimately climbed westward and vanished. The report also documents corroborating observations from eight witnesses near Naval facilities in Washington, D.C., who observed similar disk formations moving in triangular and linear patterns. The official conclusion was listed as "Unknown."
