This document comprises U.S. Air Force investigative records from January 1949 regarding an unidentified aerial object sighting. The primary incident occurred on November 29, 1948, in San Francisco, California, when a civilian science teacher observed a glowing, spherical object through binoculars from his backyard at approximately 21:15 hours. The object, described as yellowish and emitting steady light without fire or sound, traveled from east to north-northwesterly direction, made a definite directional turn, and disappeared behind fog over the Golden Gate Bridge within approximately seven seconds. The witness reported the object appeared too fast to be an aircraft. Official investigation included interviews, neighborhood canvassing yielding no corroborating witnesses, astronomical evaluation via Project Grudge, weather balloon analysis, and assessments of witness credibility and vision.
