# Wildcat Bob, the Boss Bruiser; or, The Border Bloodhounds

This Edward L. Wheeler serial presents a frontier crime narrative spanning mining camps and railroad lines. Under orders from a masked leader, Corrigan places an unconscious young woman across railroad tracks during a violent thunderstorm; the approaching express train kills her, completing his brutal initiation. Chapter II shifts to Pompeii's Gulch, a gold-mining settlement experiencing a rainstorm. A gang of rough Kansas border ruffians, led by a large brutish man, arrives at the Heifer Shebang saloon announcing their intention to terrorize the town. The narrative emphasizes action, violence, and lawless frontier characters operating in remote Western locations.
