This lithographic caricature presents a political figure through exaggerated physiognomy—a standard technique in 19th-century satirical print culture. The central cartouche isolates the subject's grotesquely enlarged head and mustache, while surrounding vignettes depict scenes of drinking, gambling, and crowd manipulation. The composition recalls the European tradition of political caricature from Gillray through Daumier: black-line lithography used to expose corruption through bodily distortion and social commentary. The lower panel introduces a female figure in ethnographic styling. This work exemplifies how comic satire functioned as popular political critique before the advent of mass-produced comics.
