This is a pressed botanical specimen — a herbarium sheet, not a cartoon or caricature — collected by C.R. Orcutt in 1910 and identified as Hypericum collinum (hill St. John's wort) by N. Robson in 2004, held in the Natural History Museum, London, Department of Botany. No satirical content, printmaking tradition, or caricature is present. Writing a wall label situating this object within the Hogarth–Gillray–Daumier–Nast lineage of print satire would be factually false. The image shows dried stems, opposite ovate leaves, and spent flower heads mounted on archival board — the standard practice of 19th–20th-century field botany.
