Gaylussacia densa Cham. (Huckleberry): Herbarium Specimen

· Collected March 1841, Natural History Museum, London (BM000947720)

This is not a cartoon or caricature. The image is a pressed botanical herbarium specimen—a dried branch of Gaylussacia densa Cham. (a South American huckleberry in the family Ericaceae), collected near the summit of the Órgãos Mountains, Brazil, March 1841. Handwritten annotations record its collection number (5885), locality, and later determinations by museum botanists. A color-calibration chart and metric scale bar appear alongside. This object belongs to natural history documentation, not print satire. No wall label for a caricature exhibition can honestly be written from this specimen sheet.
