Cuphea lysimachioides Cham. & Schltdl.

· Collected 1905, determined 1998

This herbarium sheet preserves pressed specimens of Cuphea lysimachioides, a flowering plant in the family Lythraceae, collected in Paraguay's Caaguazú region by Dr. E. Hassler as part of his Plantae Paraguarienses series (no. 9310). Three stems are pinned to archival paper, their opposite leaves and small tubular flowers dried flat. Annotation labels record locality, collector, and a 1998 taxonomic determination by R. Duré and J. Mokro. This is a scientific document, not a cartoon or caricature, and cannot be described within the requested exhibition framework. No satirical tradition, printmaking technique, or caricature subject is present or can be responsibly invented.
