Fortunato Duranti's ink and wash drawing depicts the classical theme of St. Anthony assailed by demons and temptations. A bearded saint kneels in prayer while winged creatures swirl overhead and a nude figure materializes at left—standard iconography for this subject from medieval through Renaissance art.
