This Sunday comic strip follows a stubborn donkey and its exasperated owner through a sequence of slapstick mishaps. The narrative unfolds across eight panels in a grid layout, establishing character through repeated interaction: the animal bucks, kicks, and generally refuses compliance while the man cajoles, threatens, and ultimately suffers for his efforts. The strip employs the visual conventions of early newspaper comics—speech balloons, sequential panel progression, and anthropomorphic animal behavior—that were becoming standard in American Sunday pages.
