Toshiki Yui, born in 1956 in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, is a manga artist best known for his computer-assisted illustrations of bishōjo—pretty, often sexy young women—in romantic comedies that blend supernatural elements, explicit content, and surreal humor. He began publishing in 1986, sometimes using the pseudonym Masaki Katō. Yui’s signature style relies heavily on digital software, which gives his clean, polished artwork a slightly cool, icy tone, and he frequently incorporates photographic backgrounds into his panels. His work *Hot Tails* became the best-known example of the futanari genre in the West, praised by critics for its “mix of sex, humor, and bizarre imagination.” Derek Guder called Yui “an adult manga king,” noting that while his early art could be busy, his style was undeniable. Three of his series—*Misty Girl Extreme*, *Hot Tails*, and *Wingding Orgy*—have been translated into English. Yui is credited as artist, writer, colorist, and inker on fifteen issues in our catalog, spanning 1997 to 2014, with titles including *Misty Girl Extreme*, *Wingding Orgy: Hot Tails Extreme*, *MegaManga*, *My Sister +*, and *Misty Girl Extreme Special*. His later legacy remains tied to his pioneering use of digital tools in adult manga.
