Tom Kerr
1925–
Tom Kerr (1915–1984) was a British comic strip artist best known for his prolific work across several of the UK’s most popular adventure and humour titles, including *Look-in*, *Eagle*, *Valiant*, and *TV21*. Born in 1915, Kerr entered the comics industry in the mid-1950s and remained active through the early 2000s, with his most concentrated output appearing in the 1960s and 1970s. He contributed to numerous annuals of the era, such as the *Monkees* and *Look-in* annuals, and his credits as artist and inker span over twenty issues, with his most frequent appearances in *Thunder*, *Look-In*, *Fantastic!*, *Valiant and Knockout*, and *Mickey Mouse Weekly*. Kerr’s clean, energetic linework and reliable storytelling made him a steady hand for serialised strips and one-off features alike. He is not to be confused with the Australian cartoonist of the same name, who created the animated duck Daddles. Kerr’s later life remains less documented, but his body of work stands as a durable contribution to the golden age of British weekly comics. He died in 1984.
