T. Casey Brennan
T. Casey Brennan is an American comic book writer best known for his horror and fantasy work in the 1970s. Born Terrance Casey Brennan, he wrote for Warren Publishing’s influential black-and-white horror anthologies *Creepy*, *Eerie*, and *Vampirella*, as well as for DC Comics’ *House of Mystery* and Archie Comics’ *Red Circle Sorcery*. His writing credits span from 1971 to 2011, with notable appearances in *Vampirella of Drakulon*, *Cerebus Archive*, and *Tara on the Dark Continent*.
In the 1980s, Brennan became an advocate for banning depictions of smoking in comics, a campaign that led then-Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas to proclaim January 1990 as “T. Casey Brennan Month.” His work remains part of the Warren horror legacy, though he is less widely known than some of his contemporaries. Brennan’s career reflects the transition from the horror-comics boom of the 1970s to independent and archival publishing in later decades. He is credited on 11 issues in our catalog.
