Sam Henderson was born on October 18, 1969, in the United States. An American cartoonist, writer, and comedy historian, he is best known for his long-running comic book series *Magic Whistle*. Henderson’s career spans from 1990 to 2018, during which he contributed to a wide range of publications, including *Duplex Planet Illustrated*, *Zero Zero*, and the anthology *9-11: Artists Respond, Volume One*. His work also appeared in *Mega-Pyton*, *Maakies*, *Nib-Lit*, *Legal Action Comics*, and the animated shorts compilation *God Hates Cartoons*. In animation, he wrote for *SpongeBob SquarePants* and *Camp Lazlo*. A past participant in Robert Sikoryak’s *Carousel* multimedia slideshow series, Henderson’s style is often characterized by absurdist humor and sharp, minimalist linework. His most credited titles in comics include *Cartoon Network Presents*, *Liquid Sunshine*, *Looney Tunes*, *Measles*, and *Taikapilli*.
