Ryohgo Narita
Ryohgo Narita, born May 30, 1980, in Japan, is a light novelist and manga writer best known for his sprawling urban ensemble stories. He first gained attention by winning the Gold Prize in the 9th Dengeki Novel Prize for *Baccano!*, which was adapted into an anime in 2007. His most famous work, *Durarara!!*, became a multimedia franchise with two anime series, airing in 2010 and 2015. Narita’s signature style blends large casts of eccentric characters, interwoven plotlines, and a lively sense of chaos set in modern or historical Japan. He often collaborates with artists like Suzuhito Yasuda, who illustrated the *Durarara!!* light novels. In the American comics market, Narita contributed as a writer on fourteen issues from 2012 to 2019, primarily adapting his own series, including *Durarara!! RE; Dollars Arc*, *Durarara!! Saika-Hen*, and *Durarara!! Kokinzoku-Hen*. His work has earned a dedicated international following, and he remains active in the light novel industry, continuing to expand his interconnected fictional worlds.
