Rafael Marín Trechera was born in Cádiz, Spain, in 1959. He is best known internationally for his work on Marvel's *Fantastic Four* Vol. 3 during 2000 and 2001, where he co-plotted with artist Carlos Pacheco. He also wrote for *The Inhumans*, collaborating with artists José Ladronn and Jorge Lucas. For the Spanish market, Marín created the mini-series *Iberia Inc* and *Triada Vértice*, and began the ongoing 12-issue historical graphic novel series *12 del Doce*. Beyond scripting, he is a respected comics historian and works as a novelist and translator. His credited writing spans over 30 issues from 1997 to 2024, with his most frequent titles including *Fantastic Four*, *Inhumans*, and *Biblioteca Marvel: Los 4 Fantásticos*. Marín's career reflects a dual commitment to both American superhero comics and original Spanish historical narratives. He has received recognition for his scholarship and creative work in the Spanish comics community.
