Paul Deliège

Paul Deliège was a Belgian comics artist and writer, best known for creating the long-running series *Bobo*. He was born on 21 January 1931 in Belgium and died on 7 July 2005. Deliège entered the comics field in the 1960s, contributing as an artist, inker, letterer, and writer across more than two dozen issues from 1964 into the 2000s. His most recognized work remains *Bobo*, a humorous strip that showcased his clean, expressive linework and gentle storytelling. He also collaborated on series such as *Reka*, *Les Krostons*, and *Théophile et Philibert*, and his work appeared in anthologies like *Gag de poche* and *Kauka Super Serie*. Deliège’s style was marked by a playful clarity and a fondness for whimsical characters, often working in partnership with other Belgian creators. While not as widely celebrated as some of his peers, his contributions to European humor comics earned him a dedicated following. His legacy endures through the continued reprinting of *Bobo* and his influence on later generations of cartoonists.
