Naoshi Arakawa is a Japanese manga artist best known for creating the emotional music-themed series *Your Lie in April*. He was born on March 27, 1977, in Tokyo, Japan. Arakawa entered the manga industry after studying at Nihon University College of Art, initially working as an assistant to other artists before launching his own series. His breakthrough came with *Your Lie in April* (2011–2015), a poignant story about a young pianist and a violinist that became an international hit, adapted into an anime and live-action film.
