Mark D. Bright (December 27, 1955 – March 27, 2024) was an American comic book and storyboard artist, sometimes credited as Doc Bright. He is best remembered for penciling Marvel Comics' "Armor Wars" storyline in *Iron Man*, the two *Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn* miniseries for DC, and painting the cover to Marvel's *Transformers* #5. With writer Christopher J. Priest, he co-created the satirical superhero duo Quantum and Woody. Bright later moved into freelance storyboard work, though he and Priest reunited for a five-issue *Quantum and Woody* miniseries for the revived Valiant Comics in 2014–2015. His style—clean, dynamic, and expressive—made him a sought-after collaborator on titles like *Batman: Prodigal*, *Batman: Shadow of the Bat*, and *Q2: The Return of Quantum and Woody*. Bright's career spanned from the mid-1980s through the 2010s, and his work on *The Transformers: Spotlight Nightbeat* and other series cemented his reputation among fans of superhero and licensed comics. He received no major industry awards but left a lasting imprint through his co-creation of Quantum and Woody, a cult-favorite property that continues to be revisited.
