Lloyd Dangle (born May 13, 1961) is an American cartoonist, illustrator, and political satirist best known for his acerbic, single-panel comic strip *Troubletown*, which skewered politics and consumer culture. He entered comics in the early 1990s, contributing to alternative and underground publications. His most-credited work from 1990 to 1995 appears in titles such as *Dangle*, *Buzzard*, *All Shook Up*, *The Amazing Adventures of Ace International*, *The Comics Journal*, and *Young Lust*, where he served as artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer. Dangle’s style is characterized by loose, expressive linework and a sharp, satirical edge, often collaborating with fellow alternative cartoonists. He co-created the series *Buzzard* and *Dangle*, which showcased his biting humor and social commentary. Later, his *Troubletown* strip gained a wide following in alternative newspapers and online, cementing his reputation as a keen observer of American absurdity. Dangle has received recognition for his work, including multiple awards from the Association of Alternative Newsmedia, and continues to produce political cartoons and illustrations. His legacy lies in his unflinching, witty critique of contemporary life, influencing a generation of satirical cartoonists.
