Lise Myhre
1975–
Lise Myhre is a Norwegian cartoonist born in 1975, best known as the creator of *Nemi*, the gothic-humor strip that has made her one of the most recognized cartoonists in Scandinavia. She has worked across the full range of comics craft — as writer, artist, inker, and letterer — demonstrating an unusually complete command of the medium throughout a career stretching from 1996 to the present day.
*Nemi* centers on a metal-loving, black-clad young woman navigating everyday life, and its blend of deadpan wit and subcultural affection earned it a devoted readership well beyond Norway's borders. Myhre has applied her talents across an impressive range of publications connected to the strip, including *Nemi bok*, *Nemi minibok*, *Nemi julehefte*, and contributions to *Magasinet* and *NNN arbeideren*, accumulating credits on more than 315 issues over nearly three decades. Her linework is clean and expressive, well suited to the comedic timing that the strip demands. The consistency and longevity of *Nemi* stand as the clearest measure of her legacy — few cartoonists sustain a single character with such evident creative investment across so long a span.
