Kerascoët is the joint pen name of French illustrators Marie Pommepuy (born 1978) and Sébastien Cosset (born 1975), a married couple who met while studying at the Olivier de Serres art school. They adopted their shared name in 2000, inspired by the hamlet of Kerascoët in Névez, Brittany, where Pommepuy grew up. The duo is best known for their work in bandes dessinées, with several of their comics translated into English by NBM Publishing to strong critical reception. Their style blends delicate, expressive linework with a fairy-tale sensibility, often exploring darkly whimsical themes. They have collaborated on a range of projects, including the animated series *Petit vampire* and commercial illustration. Among their notable co-creations are *Beautiful Darkness*, which earned an Eisner Award nomination, and *Beauty*, nominated for the Ignatz Award for Outstanding Graphic Novel. Their catalog spans over twenty issues from 2006 to 2023, with titles such as *Fräulein Rühr-mich-nicht-an*, *Miss pas touche*, and *Jenseits*. Kerascoët continue to work as artists, colorists, inkers, and writers, maintaining a quiet but respected presence in Franco-Belgian comics.
