Kaori Yuki

Kaori Yuki was born on December 18 in Tokyo, Japan. She is a manga artist best known for her gothic series *Earl Cain*, its sequel *Godchild*, and *Angel Sanctuary*. Yuki made her professional debut in 1987 with the one-shot "Ellie in Summer Clothes," published in Hakusensha's *Bessatsu Hana to Yume* anthology after placing in a contest held by *Hana to Yume*. Her work has primarily appeared in *Bessatsu Hana to Yume* and *Hana to Yume*, two shōjo manga anthologies from Hakusensha. In 2010, her work was featured in the new shōjo anthology *Aria* from Kodansha. Yuki is credited as artist, inker, and writer on ten issues in our catalog, with her most-credited titles being *The Cain Saga*, *Angel Sanctuary*, *Alice in Murderland*, and *Collection Manga X*. Her signature style blends ornate, darkly romantic artwork with intricate, often tragic narratives. She has not been reported as deceased.
