Jorunn Hanto-Haugse

Jorunn Hanto-Haugse is a Norwegian comic strip author, illustrator, and orchardist, best known for her strips *Reveland*, *Reform 94*, and *Skulen*—all written in the Nynorsk language. She was born in 1982 and grew up on the Utitun farm in Djønno. After earning a bachelor’s degree in art from the University of Central England in Birmingham, she also studied premodern visual rhetoric at the University of Bergen. Her comics have appeared regularly in *Norsk Barneblad*, the street newspaper *Megafon*, and *Hordaland*, with past runs in the newspaper *EON* and the magazine *Utdanning*. Her work has been reprinted by *Verdens Gang*, *Bergens Tidende*, *Larsons Gale Verden*, *Pondus*, and the National Center for Nynorsk in Education. As an artist, she has held solo exhibitions in Bergen and Vadsø, and participated in group shows in New York, Liverpool, and Seoul. Since 2014, Hanto-Haugse has balanced her comics career with fruit farming at the Utitun farm. Our catalog credits her as artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer on 63 issues from 2009 to 2015, most notably for *Norsk Barneblad* and *Larsons gale verden*.
