Jesús Blasco was a Spanish comic book artist and author born on 3 November 1919, whose professional life traced an arc across nearly the entire modern history of the medium. He died on 21 October 1995.

Blasco built a remarkably durable career that stretched from the mid-1940s well into the latter decades of the twentieth century, working across multiple national markets and genres. He became particularly active in British comics during the 1960s and 1970s, contributing to titles including Valiant and its successor publication Valiant and Knockout, as well as Marty — a body of work that established him as a reliable and versatile presence in the UK industry at a time when British weeklies depended heavily on talented European artists.

Beyond his British output, Blasco worked extensively on Italian Western comics, lending his draftsmanship to the long-running Tex franchise across several of its incarnations, including Tex Gigante, Tex Willer, and the collected TuttoTex editions. Over the course of his credited work — spanning roles as penciller, inker, and colorist across nearly 200 issues — he demonstrated an adaptability that allowed him to move comfortably between action-adventure serials and other popular genres. His career stands as a testament to the generation of Spanish artists who quietly shaped the look of European comics from behind the scenes.
