Jay Allen Sanford
Jay Allen Sanford was born on February 18, 1960, and is an American author and cartoonist. He is best known for his work with Revolutionary Comics, Carnal Comics, and Pacific Comics. Sanford began writing the comic book *Rock 'N' Roll Comics*—created by Todd Loren—starting with its second issue in 1989, and he continues to oversee reprints of the series through Bluewater Productions and other publishers. He co-founded Carnal Comics, which launched the character Demi the Demoness in movies and cartoons, and ran the company from 1994 to 2000 before passing it to SS Crompton. Since 1994, Sanford has been a columnist and cartoonist for the *San Diego Reader*, writing articles and drawing two weekly comic strips: "Overheard in San Diego" and "Famous Former Neighbors." His most credited titles include *Triple-X-Cinema: A Cartoon History*, *Rock N' Roll Comics*, *Sports Legends Comics*, and several *True Stories of Adult Film Stars* issues. Sanford’s work often blends pop culture, music, and adult entertainment history, with a focus on biographical and documentary-style storytelling.
