Jacque Aye

Jacque Aye is a Nigerian-American comic artist and writer whose work centers Black women protagonists and draws heavily from Japanese anime. Born in the United States to Nigerian parents, she began her professional comics career in 2024. Aye is best known for her contributions to the *Monster High* franchise, where she has written for titles such as *Monster High: New Scaremester*, *Monster High: World's Scare*, *Monster High: FCBD Silver 2024*, and *Monster High: Pride 2025*. As of early 2025, she has been credited as a writer on 13 issues. Her art style blends dynamic, expressive character designs with the visual storytelling conventions of anime, often exploring themes of identity and representation. While still early in her career, Aye has quickly become a notable voice for inclusive, character-driven stories in licensed comics.
