Hiroyuki Utatane

Hiroyuki Utatane is a Japanese manga artist and anime director, born on 15 June 1966 in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. He began his career creating adult-oriented works, notably the series *Countdown*. In the 1990s, he expanded into mainstream anime, contributing to the production of *Sailor Moon S*. Over time, his focus shifted toward seinen manga, with titles such as *Seraphic Feather* and *Heaven's Prison* marking a mature phase of his career, though he continued to release adult works as well.
