Glenn Lumsden
Glenn Lumsden is an Australian comic book artist and writer best known for his work on *The Southern Squadron* and for co-creating a new visual direction for The Phantom at Marvel Comics. Born in Sydney in 1964, he entered self-publishing in 1985 alongside David de Vries, Gary Chaloner, and Tad Pietrzykowski under the Cyclone Comics imprint, contributing to *The Southern Squadron* and *Dark Nebula*. Lumsden and de Vries soon broke into the American market through First Comics, Nicotat, and Malibu Graphics with *The Southern Squadron*. The duo also collaborated on a redesigned *The Phantom* for Marvel, and Lumsden worked on *Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight* and *Star Trek* titles for DC Comics, *The Puppet Master* for Eternity Comics, and *Planet of the Apes* and *Flesh Gordon* for Malibu Comics. Later, he relocated to South Australia, where he co-founded Barossa Studios with David Heinrich, Rod Tokely, and David G. Williams, producing artwork for magazines such as *Picture*, *People*, *Ralph*, *The Australian Financial Review*, and *The Bulletin*. His credited work spans 14 issues from 1990 to 1995, with notable titles including *Southern Squadron: Freedom of Information Act*, *Bodyguard*, *Puppet Master*, *Puppet Master: Children of the Puppet Master*, *The Phantom: Ghost Who Walks*, and *Eternal Warrior Yearbook*.
