Glenn Danzig, born Glenn Allen Anzalone on June 23, 1955, is best known to comic readers as the founder of Verotik, his adult-oriented comic book publishing company. Active as a writer and colorist from 1994 to 2013, he contributed to 27 issues, with his most credited titles including *Satanika*, *Jaguar God*, *Death Dealer*, *Verotika*, *Venus Domina*, and *G.O.T.H.*. His comic work, like his music, blends horror, eroticism, and dark fantasy.

Far more widely, Danzig is the founder of the rock bands Misfits, Samhain, and Danzig, and owns the Evilive record label. His musical career, beginning in the mid-1970s, spans punk rock, heavy metal, and incorporates industrial, blues, and classical influences. He has written songs for Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison. As a singer, he is noted for his baritone voice and tenor range, drawing comparisons to Elvis Presley, Jim Morrison, and Howlin' Wolf. In 2023, *Rolling Stone* ranked him number 199 on its list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time. His later life continues to involve music and film, with his comic work remaining a distinct, if less celebrated, facet of his creative output.
