Richard Peyzaret, who worked under the pen name F'Murr (or F'Murrr), was a French cartoonist and writer born on March 31, 1946. He is best known for his long-running series *Le Génie des alpages* (The Genius of the Mountain Pastures), a surreal and whimsical comic that became his signature work. F'Murr's path into comics led him to create a distinctive body of work marked by a playful, absurdist style and a keen eye for visual storytelling. He collaborated with various publishers and contributed to magazines such as *(À Suivre)* and *Circus*. Among his notable creations is the series *Ullkorn*, as well as *Jehanne au pied du mur*. His career in the industry spanned from the mid-1970s through the late 1980s, during which he served as artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer on numerous projects. F'Murr passed away on April 10, 2018. His legacy endures through his influential and imaginative work, which continues to be appreciated by fans of European comics.
