Eugenio Sicomoro
Eugenio Sicomoro, born Bruno Brunetti on 16 September 1952 in Rome, is an Italian comic book artist who entered the field in the late 1970s with work for the magazine *Lanciostory*. He soon crossed into the Franco-Belgian market, collaborating with writer Claude Moliterni to create the series *Rouletabille* (also known as *Marc Jourdan*) for *Pilote* and *Charlie Mensuel*. Sicomoro is best known for his partnership with writer Pierre Makyo, with whom he produced the single-issue AIDS-themed story *Sida Connection* (also published as *Aids Connection*) and the mini-series *Lumière Froide* (also translated as *Kaltes Licht* and *Koud licht*). His art, often marked by clean linework and a restrained European style, also appeared in the Bonelli series *Magico Vento*, for which he penciled several issues. Beyond comics, he worked extensively in illustration. His catalog credits him as artist, colorist, inker, and writer on 17 issues between 1988 and 2025, with his most prominent titles including the *Lou Chrysoées* adaptations of *Lumière Froide*. Sicomoro’s career reflects a steady, craftsman-like presence in European adventure comics, though he has not received major industry awards.
