Emma Vieceli

Emma Vieceli, born in 1979, is a British comic book artist, writer, and musical theatre creator. She began her career as a hobbyist with Sweatdrop Studios before transitioning to professional freelance work, notably illustrating SelfMadeHero's *Manga Shakespeare: Hamlet* in 2007. Vieceli is best known for her dynamic artwork on Marvel's *Young Avengers* (2013), IDW's *Back to the Future* (2017), and Titan Comics' *Doctor Who* (2015). She co-created the webcomic *BREAKS* with Malin Ryden in 2014 and wrote Titan's *Life Is Strange* comic adaptation (2018), praised by Bleeding Cool for her "forte" in writing teenage relationships. Vieceli's signature style blends manga influences with expressive, character-driven storytelling, often collaborating with writers like Malin Ryden. She also created the musical theatre show *Unfolding*, first performed in 2025. Her most credited titles include *Life Is Strange*, *Back to the Future*, *Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor*, *Olivia Twist*, *Life Is Strange: Settling Dust*, and *Jem and the Holograms*.
